The Future of
Healthcare in Deaf Smith County

Rising from the former farmland west
of Wal-Mart in Hereford,
Texas, is an 80,500 square foot replacement hospital
which will
provide the residents of Deaf Smith County and the
surrounding
areas with a state of the art, primary care healthcare
facility. A
replacement facility had been talked about for years,
but in the fall
of 2009 the residents of Deaf Smith County approved the
sale of
$28,000,000 worth of General Obligation Bonds for use to
build a
replacement hospital for the aging facility that has
been serving the
county since the early 1920’s. When you click on the
link below a
slide show will begin that will chronicle the building
process. New
pictures will be added weekly to the slide show, so
please visit
often.
